Collaboration: TG Theatre Ballet
TG Ballet’s new production, the programme including:
1. The Little Match Girl
On an icy cold Christmas eve in a town, a poor little match girl, with the faint light of her struck matches, awakens love, compassion and kindness on a snowy night...
Scenario and directed by Terrie Tai, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic story, beautifully reimagined through dance mime and music.
2. Jeux (Games)
Is a ballet written by Claude Debussy, Choreographed by Vaslav Nijinsky.
Described as a “poème dansé”
Is a garden at dusk; a boy is playing tennis, and suddenly the ball flies away. He goes to find it and meets two girls...
They start playing childhood games on the grass, during which a love triangle develops, and then the tennis ball returns.
A blend of neoclassical and contemporary ballet styles, and Nijinsky's distinct, his own style: style...
